Interface development tool for FileMaker Pro more>> The designs in this file are created as a jump start for creating your own professionally looking FileMaker databases. Of course I hope you think they look good, but ease of use was just as important as the creative aspect. Thats why a lot of effort was spent in fine tuning sizes, grids and consistent use of type. Other design principles were to be cross platform, use standard FileMaker layout options, common typefaces and no use of plug-ins or externally created graphics (with the noted exception of the Quasi Aqua buttons). This should enable you to create additional layout elements completely from within FileMaker on both Mac OS and Windows.
Using the elements supplied in this file you can concentrate on the only thing left: creating useful and easy to use databases. If you need help with that, please refer to the Where can I get more of this? section.

A typeface designed specially for African drum rhythms played on djembes, bass d more>> The Djembe Font is a typeface designed specially for African drum rhythms played on djembes, bass drums and bells.
It enables you to write graphic drum notation from your keyboard in any Windows or MacIntosh program.
The graphic symbols used in this notation system are based on the three basic sounds of the djembe - the high pitch slap, the medium pitch tone and the low pitch bass.
The same three symbols are also used for the sounds of the African bass drums - the small kenkeni, the medium size sangban and the large doundoun - and it can also be used for bells of different pitch.
In order to distinguish between djembe, bass and bell notation you can either write which it is or simply put the corresponding instrument symbol at the beginning of each notation line. (See Notation page)<<less

Dark Garden is a decorative outline font of unusual shape. The typeface is based on authors original hand drawings. The letterform is complex, with all characters decorated with spikes resembling thorns or flames, character spacing is very dense. Such a theme makes it a great font for titles, banners, logos etc. Due to the fonts complicated form, long text passages are not very legible, but short paragraphs such as titles or lyrics / poetry look very well.

At this time, the Dark Garden font contains all letters of the English alphabet, Polish and German diacritic characters and a few punctuation marks.

Kerning and Hinting
As of version 1.1, DarkGarden contains kerning and hinting information. Hinting is only very basic at the time (no TrueType instructions). Since most characters are rather oddly-shaped, they dont fit their bounding boxes very well, so quite a lot of kerning pairs were needed to make the font look really good. The font has been tested with a choice of English and Polish texts and it seems that most of the necessary kerning pairs are implemented.<<less
