Currently there are a handful of uninstaller extensions out there, why should you use this one? From my research there are currently 2 types of uninstallers: THE jslib uninstaller API, and the extensions that use it. The extensions that use it, or wrapper extensions, just provide a nice user interface to the jslibs API. In my experiences, the jslib uninstaller always crashes when I try to uninstall something in Firefox. It also closes all your browser windows, so you have to stop what youre doing.
I have built this uninstaller from the ground up, trying to make it as versitile and complete as I can. In my tests it doesnt crash and you dont have to stop what youre doing to use it. The uninstaller completely uninstalls content, skins and locales associated with the targeted extension.<<less
