Free user account software for windows

I am teaching CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and also have to manage student access to a dozen of PCs in a classroom. They are all (PCs) running Windows XP now and connected to a local network controlled by the domain controller (which is Windows 2000 server). We have to make about 50 new accounts every start of year, providing user rights, home directories on the file server, etc. Also, those guys never remember their passwords... So I had to go very often to the server room, and do all stuff using Active Directory. To make my life easier, I have made this simple program that allows doing basic things from any Windows PC on the local network. It works basically on LANs with a domain controller, but can be also used to manage users and group on workstations (including local PC). Now, I just start SUAMan, input a user name, select a group to add, and SUAMan creates a user ID based on his name, user home directory within his or her group and? that is.
Frankly, I though it would be much easier to make a program like this. However, MS Windows API is so?, let us say unclear and complicated. The trickiest API I have ever tried using. Having said that, I am not going to blame Microsoft for those things. The task to satisfy all is too complicated. Actually they do a great job and all of us have many chances to enjoy the results in one way or another.
So, if you are a system administrator or a teacher like me busy with similar tasks, why dont you try SUAMan?

Thunderbird extension that Lets you associate user accounts and identities with specific folders Folder Account lets you associate user accounts and identities with specific folders. Great for multiple users who share TB, or for managing mailing lists.
Folder Account will add two very simple options.
First, you can select which of your accounts or identities will be used when composing, replying, or forwarding mail based on which folder is currently selected. An example where this could be useful is when two people share a set of folders.
You could configure TB to set a different return address for you when you are working with your folders, and for the other user when they are using theirs. Alternatively, if you use a different mailing address for a mailing list, you can use this extension to set your return address appropriately when you working with the list?s folder.
The second thing this extension does is allow you to set a default To address for newly composed messages based on which folder you are working in. This could be very useful for mailing lists ? when you create a new message in the mailing list folder, your message would automatically be correctly addressed.
In both cases, if the current folder has no From address or To address specified, the extension will check the parent folder, so you can control the settings for an entire branch of your folder tree at one time.

J Account Manager is a JDBC command line program that is designed to interactively manage a database that has been setup to do authentication for an Apache Web server.
J Account Manager includes a main menu with 4 options: View existing database, populate, de-populate, and re-configure. All the options are fairly straightforward, however, populate and de-populate might have been better named add user remove user.

CCAccountMangler 1.0.8.26 is such an essential program which permits support staff to easily determine if a domain user account is locked, unlock the account, disable or enable the account, view last logon and password change timestamps, and account expiration without Active Directory Users and Computers.

The application takes the user logon account as an argument, avoiding having to either drill down through Domains and Organizational Units to find the account or start ADUC and do a Find.

NTFS Access 2.1 is a software bringing a solution for a Windows user who has lost access to their folders/files (user account folders in Documents And Settings cannot be accessible), for example, after system reinstallation, use NTFS Access to regain access. NTFS Access can be also helpful if you want to access to private folders/files of another system user account. This software can set new owner and full access rights. Program can give permissions recursively, so you do not have to repeat an action for each folder separately.
