XMPlay is an audio player, supporting the OGG / MP3 / MP2 / MP1 / WMA / WAV / CDA / MO3 / IT / XM / S3M / MTM / MOD / UMX audio formats, and PLS / M3U / ASX / WAX playlists. A load more formats are also supported via plugins. When XMPlay was first released in 1998, only the XM format was supported, hence the name "XMPlay"

microPlayer is a free, compact and tiny audio player intended to keep the Widget small and save valuable desktop space. It can play a single audio file, a folder full of audio files, playlist files, or CD audio tracks.
You can play audio without Windows Media Player, iTunes
, Winamp, or other audio players open. Uses COM (WMPlayer.OCX).

The Widget is able to play MP3 (.mp3), WAVE (.wav), WMA (.wma), AIFF (.aif .aiff), and Sun/NeXT (.au .snd) sound files. Accepts Playlist File Formats M3U ("m3u"), WPL ("wpl") or WAX ("wax") containing valid media items.
Volume, balance and song seeking controls allow you to find and listen to the best parts of the music at a sound level to suit you. A handy mute option also provides silence on demand without stopping the music.
