This was what I was trying to make when I made OpenGL Mistake No.2... Its a very simplistic attempt to create a visual equivalent to a musical instrument (and isnt necessarily successful).
Basically, this is a little project that evolved out of my PhD research - where Im trying to create a musical instrument where the sound output is intimately connected to visual output.
In doing this, I had the thought of creating a visual equivalent to a musical instrument - i.e. something that creates an abstract visual output in the same way that (traditional) musical instruments create abstract audio output (meaning the sound/visual doesnt automatically make you think: "thats a picture of a building" or "thats the sound of a car").
Anyway, it doesnt do much - its just a wee test program, but I think its pretty cool, and I think theres a lot of further exploration possible in terms of creating interactive, realtime visual instruments.

But it does more than just make the code; it also opens and tests the window, live, so you can see the results instantly.
No more tediously revising and modifying your popup window code to get it to function just right! And no more sitting there to the wee hours of the morning trying to figure out where you missed a comma or forgot a quote mark.

We even supply you will many window close options that you can add to your popup window to allow users to close the window.
