Knowing Windows does not mean that you have to know all there is to know about the control panel, device manager, and system restore. In my terminology, if you are able to use Windows for your work and generally know how to do a task better then you should be happy. Leave the control panel and device manager to the geeks and make sure that you know the basics first.
