With CMAod you can change MAC-Address on demand.CMAoD can do the following: set specific mac address of a network interface set the mac randomly | set a mac of another vendor | set another mac of the same vendor | set a mac of the same kind (eg: wireless card) | Indentifys a manufactorer of a NIC by given MAC-Addres.
What means MAC-Address? The mac address is a unique value associated with a network adapter - also known as hardware or physical addresses or host-id. They uniquely identify an adapter on a LAN. MACaddresses are 12-digit hexadecimal numbers (48 bits in length).
By convention, MACaddresses are usually written in the following two format: 00A0C914C829 The first half of a MACaddress contains the ID number of the adapter manufacturer.
