XPize is a GUI enhancer for windows xp and above. It replaces most of the non-XP icons, avis and bmps that Microsoft has always overlooked.

The installer simply automates the process of replacing resources in critical system files, making your XPs look better.

It also includes some extras and a reloader, which you can use after visiting windows Update.

XPize does not contain any spyware or ad-ware of any kind.

If you are not satisfied with the results, you can completely uninstall XPize.

XPize is compatible with any version (except x64) and any language of windows xp (Home, Pro & MCE) and 2003.

HFSLIP description
HFSLIP is a hotfix slipstreaming program for windows 2000 and windows xp and windows 2003 HFSLIP is an open source utility designed to update a windows 2000, xp or 2003 installation source with the latest hotfixes. The binaries (individual files) of fully supported hotfixes are slipstreamed directly.

This means that original files are being replaced with the newer versions present in the hotfix executables you can obtain from the Microsoft Download Center.

In the rare occasion that a hotfix isnt supported (usually because of it being a non-standard package or requiring a special installation procedure), it is integrated instead.

HFSLIP will leave these uncommon hotfixes or updates as they are and place them in the SVCPACK folder, to be installed automatically near the end of windows setup.

Here are some key features of "HFSLIP":

· HFSLIP slipstreams and recabs Service Packs, Type 1, Type 2, and MSXML-MSI hotfix binaries into the windows source (if its a critical update hotfix, HFSLIP can handle it!)

· It integrates programs that use silent, switchless installers like WMP9 [2K only] and DotNet.

An intelligent auto-hotfix utility for Microsoft windows 2000 and XP Daisy is a program that reviews your system for service pack and OS levels, determining what hotfixes the OS and applications need, and downloads and installs them in a correct and consistent manner.

How does Daisy work?
Ancient Chinese secret. Actually, this is what it does:

1. Verify command line switches
2. Verify security access requirements
3. Verify OS version and service pack
4. Download daisy.ini from FTP site
5. Check version in .ini to running apps version
6. Run qfecheck for pre-hotfix check
7. Update registry so Daisy can post event log messages
8. Download .xml or .zip mssecure database from local FTP or xml.shavlik.com via HTTP
9. Run hfnetchk locally with downloaded xml database
10. Extract hotfix info from results
11. Report to user and ask if they want to download and install hotfixes
12. For each hotfix, try to download the file and its .cls pairing from the local FTP site
13. Checksum the hotfix file to make sure it downloaded correctly
14. Install each hotfix with its custom command line switches
15. Report outcome to the user
16. Write events to the event log
17. Run qfecheck for post-hotfix check
18. Run qchain to organize hotfix installs
19. Quit or reboot depending on command line switches
