Word Builder is a free utility which will scan a plain ASCII text file and build a list of the words contained in it.

Each word is only grabbed once, so subsequent occurrences of any word are ignored. Its also fast. On my machine, an 813K text file is scanned and 12150 unique words of 3 or more characters in length are imported in 2 seconds!

The resulting list can be used by programmers to create word puzzles, anagram software and solvers for word-based puzzles - as well as spell checkers for just about any sort of software you want to write.

As you create your word list yourself, the resulting files are royalty-free and you dont therefore have to buy/steal someone elses word list for your programs.

Created word lists are in alphabetic order and the lists can be upper or lower case.
