Words is a Mac OS X screen saver module that shows random words, lines, or paragraphs from text files. It has many options for configuring which files to use and how to display.

Words is available as either source or binary.

Here is how it works: the program loads a page from the Internet, extracts all unique words found on that page and adds them to the dictionary. Then it follows all links found on the page and extracts words from the linked pages as well. The procedure is repeated for every linked page until the program runs out of links or you stop it. Count Words is an Entourage script that will count the words in a message or selected text within a message.

Count the words, lines and chars in the selected text, or in the message if no text selected.

Phone Words - Find all words formed with the letters associated with the digits on a phone.

The program uses dictionary files for several languages.
Example 1: enter the word case and see all the equivalent words with the same key combination 2273.

Example 2: your phone number is 2472848; find which funny words correspond to this number.

This is a Windows95/98 program. Create alphabetical and frequency lists of all the words in files. Keyword listing for files available. Display words in the file context. Print and copy to the clipboard of lists.

Words formed from letter-tiles fall through 3D space and land stacked on the word-grid. Raise the letter tiles by clicking and then clear the word by hitting the clear button - beware the timer ticking as you select your letters.
