DELIX works like a wrapper that allows XMPlay to use EaglePlayer and DeliTracker plugins (known as eagleplayers and deliplayers). To provide EaglePlayer environment DELIX covers three areas: Amiga hardware (Motorola MC68000 processor, Paula 8364 custom chip and the CIA adapters are emulated), Amiga operating system (crucial functions of the exec.library, dos.library, graphics.library, ciaa.resource, ciab.resource are HAL-ed into XMPlay environment) and software (Delitracker/Eagleplayer environment and many support functions are provided). The BitmapTagger was developed to be a .NET library that makes it easy to read/write common Exif / XMP tags in images. The general idea behind this library is to allow the user to treat Images with tags as just another .NET class with properties. The library handles how to retrieve and save tag information, so it is completely transparent to the user.
Enhancements:
- First beta release, currently supports JPEG and PNG files.
- There is a small problem with PNG as this library runs on top of the WIC framework and currently WIC cannot access itxt chunks in PNG, this functionality is planned in the next version of WIC; however that will not be released until Windows 7. This means this library does not truely support XMP in PNG files. The library will still load and save tag information, but will save the XMP data to the txt chunk in PNG instead, once the itxt support is added to WIC full support will be added. This will not destroy any XMP data, consider the tags this reads/write from PNG files to be completely seperate at the moment.
- Feel free to use the library or the two applications: ImageTagEditor and TagPrinter in any way as they are released under the BSD license. To obtain the two applications in download and run the .msi installer in this release. If you just want the library just download the .dll and .xml files in this release.
